Refined Sugar-Free
- Natural Sweeteners
Only

Megan never uses refined white sugar, sucrose, corn syrup or stevia. Her recipes call for natural, unrefined sugars: sweet potatoes, dates, coconut sugar, maple syrup and bananas. These natural sweeteners are perfect for baking healthier sweet treats with a low-glycemic load.

Gluten-Free Baking
- Alternative Flours, Plant Protein and High-Fiber

Forget simple starches and processed carbs. To create structure in her baking, Megan replaces white, bleached, processed flour with whole grains, whole beans and nut flours. These complex, single source, whole flours contain natural protein and fiber that benefit your body while creating tender textures and a perfect crumb. Most of Megan’s recipes are gluten-free.

Dairy-Free
- Heart-Healthy Fats
Only

Megan uses no dairy products, no butter and no margarine. Instead, she introduces natural plant-based fats to make satisfying bakes with smooth mouthfeel. Nuts and seeds create a moist texture. Coconut and olive oil replace dairy. While eggs, another healthy fat, add extra high-quality protein.

Baking with Spices
- Bold Flavors and Aroma

Expand your palate by baking with modern, international spice and flavor combinations that excite all your senses and make your tongue sing. Even before you bite into Megan’s cookies, you see the emerald green of matcha or the rich gold of turmeric, signaling earthy, citrus notes waiting for your tongue to discover. Then the fragrance of spices tantalizes your olfactory sense. Megan’s recipes use all-natural ingredients to enhance flavor and aroma in every recipe and create a party in your mouth!

Recipe Development and Recipe Science

Nutritionist approved:Sweets You Can Eat’s recipes use 100% whole food, unprocessed sweeteners and single source flours. The recipes result in truly low-glycemic desserts that effectively support a healthy lifestyle. The more processed and refined a food is, the more allergy potential is present. Megan’s recipes create clean baking treats from real food ingredients.” - Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist who endorses food as medicine

Master Baker approved: We follow a rigorous process to test each recipe. First each treat has been taste-tested by a certified master baker who had the honor of being inducted into the prestigious group “Les Dames D'Escoffier” in 2017. The master baker then test-baked our recipes and advised on developing the perfect mouthfeel and flavor combination for each one.

Test baking science: In a second step, we recruit local home bakers who bake each treat from our written recipes. We ask them to rate each one and give 5 out of 5 stars. We double check their home baked products for quality and consistency to ensure that the baked goods came out as Megan initially developed them.
